Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!

Just found out I do have PCOS, and they want me back on birth control....Only thing is I quit taking those because they made me feel horrible....I don't know what to do guys. I am so baffled, I am in shock, and I don't think it has hit me yet.

:( sorry to hear that gaby. Well maybe you can try a different bcp?? I know that particular one made u feel crappy or maybe you can google alternative treatments for PCOS.

It's OK gaby they told me to do the same thing but I told them no because I already am diagnosed with pcos so I told them I'm not going back on them god forbid u get back on them something worst may happen it's just better to get it out your system. .... they only gave me 3 options either go back on bc or loose weight and eat better or take metformin drug to make me ovulate to get pregnant and have a baby so my body can go back to normal.....but I told them no I will loose weight and eat better......I have been taking bcp for 3 years and I'm glad I stopped them nw before I get something serious then pcos

I know, I am very hesitant to get back on BCPs, as they made me feel like crap. I tried Caziant and Loestrin FE, none made me feel well. My boyfriend thinks I should get a second opinion, but I have a feeling I will be told the same by another doctor. I have found multiple websites, discussing eating right, so I will try that, I have to cut down on the carbs.

Just got prescribed Nuva ring, I will give it a try.

Anyways, how is everyone doing? Im here spending money on Xmas gifts lol, money I don't have!:roflmao:

I'm Retracking so I'll be getting my AS in August, but I still get to graduate with my AA in May and ADN in August 2015. I get two degrees now instead of one. :)

Do you need to get blood pressure cuffs for nursing?

No, you don't.

We needed the cuffs at South. Part of our supplies that are required. You don't take it to the hospital but you need them.
