Anybody go to Keiser?

Just wondering if anybody went to or is going to Keiser University's nursing program?

I say go for BC btw. You have way more options if getting that education for close to nothing! It's just too far of a drive for me. Good to have a backup!

Ok thanks id appreciate it the insight :yelclap:, BC is my first choice because its cheaper.

Did the study guide book help with the teas test? or should I just study from the practice tests from ati's website?

If you go through the entire ATI book you will do fine. But, I would study science from cliffsnotes.com as well. The tests vary but I had way more chemistry on mine than the ATI book offered. Do all of the science practice questions. Know specific info on mitosis and meiosis. Along with math and review the others. I studied the day before and did well.

So far at the WPB Campus , my current teachers are amazing! They are funny and very knowledgeable. They love their profession. The director is awesome and she is very sweet. But she is straight forward and expects no excuses!

Hello Hihopes!

I have a question for you.. Im interested in applying to Keiser in Ft. Lauderdale and was wondering how it goes with financial aid .. I don't qualify for aid, im eligible for student loans only. Was wondering if they help you with finding scholarships etc. And also how is your school schedule- I know they are flexible for the pre-requisite courses but what about the nursing core?.. Thank you in advance for your input. :-)

They have scholarships but I applied so late that I just got a private loan. But they offer scholarships throughout the year. I applied and registered a few weeks before class start. Good luck! They have plenty of resources!

I recently registered and am taking the last few of my pre-requisite courses.. Im wondering how are the nursing core courses?- Have you gone to clinicals yet? If so whats the schedule like and what hospitals are your clinical sites at? Hope you're doing well and Im sure you can't wait until you graduate :nurse:

Cdub. I CAN'T wait to graduate! haha. I actually transferred to the Tallahassee campus. prior to transferring I was set to go to the VA for clinicals. I really enjoyed the professors at WPB campus. I must say Tallahassee moves much quicker. But, overall I have had great experiences with both campuses.Keiser really does choose awesome professors. Clinical is really just a learning experience. Hopefully the person you shadow loves nursing! It makes a huge difference when you are welcomed. We are welcomed at the center here in Tallahassee, and it makes it easier. Be prepared to have NO SOCIAL life! If you need any more info message me. I don't sign in as much as I used to. Good luck with your endeavors!! You will definitely enjoy the faculty at the WPB campus!

Sorry Im replying so late, havent signed in for a while. Im taking Anatomy 1 right now, and only have Anatomy 2, and Micro and then I'll be ready.. Im hoping to make it into the May 2013 or August 2013 Nursing core classes... Have decided when you're going to apply or which term will you be ready? Im going to the Ft. Lauderdale campus.

Hope all is well with you. I wanted to know , how do you like the nursing core do you feel that its terribly hard, or is it bearable? I know you said I should prepare to not have a social life, but Im ready lol. Does Keiser schedule the clinicals during your regular class hours? And how far in advance do they tell you about your clinical schedule? *I tried to "pm" you but your messages were full
