Hey everyone! Anyone who did some gen-ed courses at keiser tell me the price range? I'm currently at bc and I just have a&p1&2 with labs and micro with lab. I'm trying to figure out if I take those courses at keiser financial aid would be able to cover it ( I like the one class a month). And also I would love to hear about you're experience with applying for their nursing program and also taking the TEAS.

You are so helpful! I've read this whole thread just about. Question- will the asn transfer to all florida 4 year universities rn-bsn? And, if u don't mind how much did you end up paying out of pocket ? Thank u!

When I wanted to try Keiser each semester was $7000. Ton on money for an associates degree. Couldn't say about individual classes.

@adp My entire Keiser degree was out of pocket because I already have a bachelor's degree. If you do not, the price actually goes down significantly. They offer a lot of grants and some scholarships. Military discounts too.Tuition went up a bit before I graduated. I believe it is a little more than 7k per term. But for me it was worth it.

I was accepted while still in a pre req course. Any other campus I would have had to wait until it was completely over to even apply. Which would have given me a Spring start instead of Fall. Keiser core is 16 months as opposed to 24. I saved 1 year. I am going to start working within the next few weeks In my opinion, it was totally worth it ( Also,I definitely enjoyed the small class sizes and the relationship we each were able to have with all of our instructors) I would have lost more money not working for a year than paying Keiser for a year. 40k = a year of working, 14k= a year of keiser

Sorry to bump this but i have an AS degree from florida college of natural health its not a community college the gen ed course i did were

English lit

Intermittent algebra

Humanties

Psychology

And

Biology/ microbiology

Plus over 30 credits in a&p because i got certified in massage therapy, skin care and electrology

Those classes came up to and over 30 credits do you think they will accept those courses?

Also were any of you in the evening classes how much longer did it take? Where you able to the core classes as well in the night program?

Hi taeway94 I attended PBSC for majority of my general studies and took my last semester of general studies at Keiser U and I start Nursing Core in May :) YAY!

I would recommend taking as much of your prereqs at a state college as possible, due to the cost. That one general studies semester cost me about $7,000. Also, I have herd that A&P is not thorough enough at Keiser which will become a real set back when your in core. I took micro at Keiser and it was fine. My advice to you is to just check to see what prereqs Keiser requires because I didn't originally plan to transfer there so I took a couple of classes at the state college which I didn't need at Keiser.

As for the TEAS, get the ATI manual, take the practice tests and that should give you a feel for what you need to focus on. Just study hard. I struggled with the English portion so I had to take it more then once. Everyone is different, we all have are own strengths and weaknesses and we all have different study strategies.
