what should I take to interview???

is there anything I am forgetting other than, copies of me resume, thank you card for afterwards, questions to ask, my license???? what am I forgetting?

If you have the handbag (or whatever) for it, you might consider a few basic toiletries, such as a breath mint, antacids, asprin, etc. ... and maybe an extra pair of panty hose if appropriate. Those types of things could come in handy if you have to travel far or if you have to wait a while in the lobby before meeting with the interviewer, etc. You'll want to be comfortable and confident with how you feel and look.

no I dont but that would be a great idea for later interviews since I am battleing being out of school for 12 years and just now getting the nclex. But God if faithful!

Need proof of identity: drivers license or birth certificate, social security card.

Names of 3 references and phone numbers (typed appreciated).

Pen to sign forms.

Bottled water/book to read in case interviewer delayed in meeting.

If driving a distance, check car out night before gas, tires, oil/antifreeze, route to facility. Leave 15 min extra to allow for travel tie-ups.

During meeting:

Handshake on meeting interviewer and look em in the eye. Sit back in chair with erect posture and attempt to appear relaxed. If getting nervous, picture person in summer bathing suit.

Ask to see job description. Inquire type of benefits offered and when do they start.

Be prepared to answere question why you chose facility, what skills would you bring to the organization.

What is one negative thing others would say about you (question always seems to throw applicants).

oh my I was way over prepared, didnt' need resume (she already had it) no application (she already had it) didnt' ask for references I think I already had them on app. didn't ask too many questions I think we just clicked and she sent me right over to the floor mgr..........and then from her to the supervisor................we shall see how it goes!
