Took the test today APRIL 6th!

took the test this morning (april 6th, tuesday).. had 265 questions, no new-format style questions (although they were included in the tutorials: fill in the blanks, sequencing, check all that apply, so on & so forth..) does anyone know how to check the results thru the CA-BON website? for everyone's curiousity, questions covered pretty much everything (from med-surg,pharma,psyche,pedia to ob) and i didn't get any iv calculations or dosage computations. hope this helps.. i pray that i passed...but i leave the everything up to Him. God bless those who will be taking the test soon.

Ione...........congrats on taking the test. You have squashed some of my anxiety, but I am still nervous. You say the exam covered everything and my instructors told us that they were eliminating alot of the peds and ob stuff. But each test is individualized and I pretty sure you passed. Just because you answered 265 doesn't mean you failed.. That's a better advantage for you. I wish you luck and will pray for you. Let us know your results.

First of all good luck and keep us posted. 2nd of all for CABON, just go to their website and go to license verification and then type in your name, if you passed it should show up within a week.

thanks for all your thoughts.. i'm just wondering... since i don't live here (i don't have SSN), will it show on the website if i passed? or should i just wait for the mail to come?

wow...congrats on taking the nclex. were there alot of medication questions (since they bumped up pharm and parenteral therapies to 13-19% of the test) ?? i hope i don't get the new format questions either. did you take a review class, if so how soon after the class did you take the exam?

there were a couple of 'side effects' and 'adverse reaction' type of question but i didn't get any parenteral therapies. i got mostly prioritization: disaster drill (who should i discharge first and who should i assess first).. i guess i answered too many of them incorrectly, as they kept appearing the whole time. i didn't take any review class due to financial setbacks. i just relied on saunders. to be honest, i am not sure if i passed or failed. i felt sad that i had to go through all the questions, since initially i thought it was not a good indication..but others say, it increases my chances. it would have been easier to assess if it stopped at 75.

I wish you the best.You know my friend is in the same situation ,like you she took the exam the 31st March and she doesn't have SSN ,so she has to wait for the result by mail.She called the board and they answered her that she should expect to obtain her result almost 10-13 days later.They seem to be busy and I don't know why?So,try to stay relax and keep busy!I know it's easy to say .....good luck.
