school woes

  1. when someone is mean and slaps you in the face turn the other cheek ... love your enemies and be nice to those ugly attitudes in all years of life. we as a health care team have to treat other health care professionals with respect and work together to help those in need- the pt are what nursing is all about

But it doesn't hurt to gently grab their wrist to stop them from slapping you again as you turn your cheek and tell them to stop it...

But there are lots of small-minded folk out there in all professions, aren't there? I guess that's lots of opportunities to see how much we all love ourselves and how much love we can share...

My take: If someone slaps you. YOU better do something about it to stop it or it will keep on happening or it will happen to someone else. I won't slap you back, but will not allow you to even think about it again.

Respect yourself (by not allowing ppl walk all over you) so that others can respect you as well.

    = peace in my opinion.

I am not sure what you are getting at, but you will see people who are mean all your life. Just keep strong and don't stoop to their level. I had several students who were very mean to me also, especially at the last semester. People tend not to like me because I have such a positive outlook on life. Of course I get stressed out, but I am not going to take it out on someone, because I am having a bad day. What do they have to do with it? I just figured that they just want to take something out on someone else, to make them feel better. Funny, why would you want to be a nurse if you are mentally or even physically abusive. I say, "It will kick the in the a## someday!"

I hope no one is hitting you, that is grounds for a lawsuit at hand. If anyone ever touched me they would see the police at their door. Why should they be able to work in healthcare with an attitude like that. Unfortunately, they would loose their license for assault and battery, but what happens if they did it to a patient?

Hi, this is off the subject, but I just noticed you live in Worcester, MA. I live in Shrewsbury and work in Worcester! How funny! Are you a nurse or student? It's nice to see someone finally in my area.
