I really truly think I chose the wrong department
i am a mere lvn nursing student but i can understand the whole not feeling confident enough because we are new and there is so much to know. stress causes everything heck i have been having asthma like symptoms and i know some say stress doesnt really cause it but can play a role- i think it started it caused it and keeps it going -- back to you pray and if you dont believe in god try some of those stress management techniques they tell us in school hot bath, walk deep breathes, and take your mind off of it totally for at least 30 min, warm tea --good luck i know things will work out for you once you talk to your nurse manager and find out her stance on it all and take it from there.

need ideas please
i am in the same boat as you and really the thing that gets me going is just counting down the days until i am out and picturing graduation day.. i think the stress of finals doesnt help with the whole not wanting to get out of bed. Stress makes me tired and not want to study but the knolwedge base is there and we only have to take a few more tests and that is it. congrats on your success we are almost through!!! Just push yourself if you dont feel like studying go for a quick walk or work out and then sit down and make yourself but take breaks at least every hour..good luck with finals

Nurses need to stick together instead of EAT THEIR YOUNG!!!
happy to hear that from one who has been in the field. being a student and being treated like dirt by so many nurses at many facilities is discouraging to say the least. i aim to always remember how i feel right now and strive to never treat students or anyone else for that matter like they are an outcast and burden. there has been a few very nice ones please do not get me wrong and those few gave me hope but a person's words and actions to a begginer can really cause damage if you allow it.

school woes
when someone is mean and slaps you in the face turn the other cheek ... love your enemies and be nice to those ugly attitudes in all years of life. we as a health care team have to treat other health care professionals with respect and work together to help those in need- the pt are what nursing is all about
