thank u sooo much for the link. i just passed the nclex and i am the first of my family to apply for a job in this country i am so nervous. i know all the nursing stuff but the business stuff scares me to death!

Thanks for the link. It's kind of stupid that our school teaches us resume and interview skills the last semester when we need to be applying thie winter!

Writing a great resumé is tough for a new grad. So can you imagine when it's a career change? I have 20 years of experience in Production Planning, Customer Service, Documentation in Construction Engineering, etc. Now how on earth do I combine this?

Mam I'm with you. But I have another twist...my most recent work experience, while all in the medical field as a medical coder/billing analyst or administrative asst all occured more than 12 years ago! For the last 12 years I have been a stay at home Mom! I will finish my ADN in May, 2008. Do I list the employment history that is medically relevant, but 12 years old?, do I write a resume like a new grad, ignoring previous experience? I'm totally lost! Any pointers anyone can give would be most appreciated!
