Kaplan Scores and Passing NCLEX

I am doing the online version of Kaplan and I am consistently getting 69% on the QBank tests. Does anybody know if this translates into a fair chance of passing the NCLEX or a horrible chance?

I took Kaplan course a couple weeks ago and I got average score 63 on q-bank so far. I finished trainer 1-6, my best one is 76 and the worst one is 58. I will take trainer #7 next week. I hope to pass Nclex on my first trial which is early July. Do you think i need review all the questions I am done before nclex?

I got a 70 on 6 and a 61 on 7 and passed on 75 questions. Remember for the actual test you need to be above the passing line- 50%. Make sure all of your subcategories are at least 50% if not 53% or higher before testing so that you can be confident that you will do well! Study and remember to take breaks.

I got 56 to 72 on Qbank questions depending on the content type.

I got 70 & 75 question trainers 6 & 7 respectively.

I passed with 75 questions.

I used Saunders and ATI too but I think Kaplan was the most helpful.

I did the Kaplan review and my instructor and paperwork they gave us after the course said if you are getting 60% or better on the Q-Bank tests then you should pass NCLEX. I just took the review course in May and took my boards yesterday, still no results yet. I feel that Kaplan did prepare me for the types of questions on the exam, but content wise I always went back to Saunders if I missed something consistently. I agree with the other poster who said when the screen turned blue they were like what the heck. I was into answering questions and didn't even realize that I was so close to 75 until I checked the questions and saw 72 then I believe at 75 questions the test shut off I really didn't expect it to shut off yet. You just get really good at answering questions because of all the practice Kaplan makes you do. The NCSBN website also recommends doing 3000 questions in order to adequately prepare for NCLEX. If you have Saunders their CD-rom is also a great resource. Just prepare, I felt confident going in and when I saw the set up of the test was so similar to Kaplan, I was very comfortable. Although once I started getting many SATA and infection control I starting getting nervous. I have finally calmed down, but when I walked out I was totally freaked out and was for sure I failed it, I don't know that too many people leave with a feeling of confidence after that test. Kaplan's website has an alternative test question bank, where you can practice these, wish I would have utilized that, I never used it. In regular question trainers and q-banks they are intermixed like NCLEX so you get some practice. Go over your INFECTION CONTROL content seems to be the trend this year with questions from what I experienced and read on this site. Wish I would have come here before the exam to see that information! Good luck and don't worry Kaplan is a great resource to have.

I would get scores ranging from 47%, maybe 60% on questions trainers and q bank questions once in a while would get much higher....58 on diagnostic test and only 60 on readiness test...and passed! Nclex on June 16th 1st try. Don't stress about scores just give everything you have to each question.

Taking the exam on July 3rd, I am having a nervous breakdown because my practice scores are fluctuating from the high 80's to the low 60's, I am using Kaplan, Saunders and Nclex 3500, I am very discourage right now, any advice?

I passed with 75 questions. The actual test was considerably more difficult than the Kaplan Qbank, in my opinion, but I guess that's good... (more difficult questions = better chance of passing!). My scores were in the high 60s/low70s. Best of luck, and just stay calm throughout the test. :)
