Fountain Valley- New Grad (Versant)

So I thought I'd start a thread about the Fountain Valley's New Grad Program. I know some people already got called by the nurse recruiter and I heard they're going to interview 150 people for 15 spots. I'm like WOW... Anyone here who got called? And what units are you applying to?

Still waiting... I'm pretty sure this means that if we haven't heard anything that they will be calling the rest of us in for panels...

I'm not going to bug HR until the end of the week though, I don't want to be a stalker.

Just got called. No panel here :( They said they thought I was great and both recruiters highly recommended me for the panel but the hospital will not consider anyone with a grad date more than a year old. I took time off to start a family and that decision has cost me dearly. I took a refresher and have a great resume, but I guess I will just have to keep looking. So bummed right now! Good luck to all you guys that made it!

Ocmama, i am so bummed for you...! =(... I did get an interview for the panel, but it is no longer my number one choice. I know you really wanted it..If i could i would give you my interview. Keep looking and don't give up! I think you'll be a wonderful nurse..!

Thanks guys! I guess the moral of this story is don't get knocked up until you are secure in your career ;) I am pursuing becoming a lactation consultant since my grad date is always going to be an issue and I hope to eventually become an L&D nurse through connections that I make as an IBCLC. TeleNurse22, lol- thanks, but telemetry is not my thing (my husband is a telemetry nurse at UCI) Good luck with your other interviews. I hope you get your first choice :)
