Fountain Valley- New Grad (Versant)

So I thought I'd start a thread about the Fountain Valley's New Grad Program. I know some people already got called by the nurse recruiter and I heard they're going to interview 150 people for 15 spots. I'm like WOW... Anyone here who got called? And what units are you applying to?

Hi everyone! I had my initial interview last Wednesday. They were very nice and easy to talk to, but I could tell they were kind of in a hurry. Lots of people to interview! We should get a call back by June 6 if selected for second interview. BTW I picked orthopedics since I precepted there and found it very interesting. :)

Just got the call that I will not be moving forward to the panel interview. :( Goodluck to every1 else!

Sorry to hear that :( I haven't heard either way yet so I'm still holding out hope for the panel interview. Just call it a learning experience and keep on going. If I don't make it to the panel at least I got to have a "practice" screening interview - that is how I look at it.

Hi April and Lordsburg, do you guys mind letting us know what kind of questions they asked you during your interview? I just wanna have an idea what kinds of questions they throw at you in any interviews -_- haha.

It was a 10 min intro interview. They asked me why I decided nursing was for me & why I chose the unit (ICU) that I did...& they also asked me what qualities would be good for an ICU nurse to have.... Essentially, you had to sell yourself and let them know how awesome you are & why they should hire you.

I wasn't chosen to advance to panel either...I think I'm just gonna focus on passing my boards for now. Good luck to everybody else!!! :)

has anyone gotten a call for the panel interview? I know some people got rejection calls today.

No call yet. I assume they are narrowing down the pool from 150 to ? before they start calling people for panel interviews. I guess we are either in the "yes" pile or the "maybe" pile - lol. First I wanted my phone to ring but now I don't :/ let me know if you get a call for the panel. Fingers crossed hat we both get a chance to get thoroughly grilled ;)

I guess we are going to have to wait until Monday to hear if we are moving on to the panel interview or not. Has anyone heard any news either way?
