Hi everyone. Just a quick question if I do information literacy through Penn Foster its 1 CEU. Would that be one of the seven ACE credits? I have racked my brain trying to find a way to get all These classes in, I've confused myself.

I would assume that it would count as one of the seven transfer credits. However, the excelsior info lit is fairly easy too. I did it yesterday in under 3 hrs.

Hi Brandi, That's what I did... Penn Foster Info Lit, then Eng 101 through Straighterline, and College Level Beginning Algebra through ALEKS. All those were then added to my ACE transcript, and accepted by Excelsior.

A big advantage to Penn Foster is the cost... it was $70. There is a fee also for ACE, $40, which includes one transcript.

    Good luck!

CLEP is a good alternative to ACE credits once you hit your limit.

Of note, however, is that EC is NOT currently accepting the Penn Foster Info Lit...check with your advisor before paying the money to take this course...

The cost of info lit thru excelsior is $135. It's really not much different than penn foster if you include the transcript costs. Also, your gi bill can be used thru excelsior, assuming you qualify for it.

Huh? $135? It's a one-credit course, and a credit hour is currently something like $390.

The $135 is for the books and materials. This is a course not an exam, since it is a one credit course the cost is $390.

That may be my bad. I am using the post 911 and that was my cost.
