I'm a cna and love to teach and research. Just recently did a project for ways to reduce ama at my local rehab hospital and I want to introduce my knowledge to my community. Who do I talk to about joining the local healthcare performance improvement team? Chamb er commerce? In addition of helping the community rehab hospitals, I would like to start a small business helping the seniors like transportation . I do realize that funding is getting tight for to start health care businesses. Any luck with grants or private loans from other businesses? Any advice is great. Thanks

Starting a transportation service is one thing that you could likely do right now, provided you have a valid driver's license and/or Chauffer License.

However, any type of successful health-care related business would also require evidence of licensure, proficiency, education and expertise in your chosen area. Expecting to educate anyone on health-care subjects would only be valid if you are truly an expert or at least fully-educated in the field. Most education positions in healthcare these days require at least a Master's degree in the field.

For instance, if I wanted to hold a seminar on heating & air conditioning, I likely wouldn't attract many customers unless I held a certification or professional licensure in that area.

Thanks. Is it possible to use your own vehicle before investing into something bigger like a truck?

Your automobile insurance carrier will have something to say about that. Best to ask them what your liability and premium would be if you drove others.
