Hi all,
I will be starting my first job in a LTC/rehab facility as a LPN in Hamden. I am excited and nervous:sofahider all in one. I too will continue to explore different avenues in nursing, and continue to learn as much as I can.

Hi, I'm a registered nurse that has been home, raising my kids for the past 16 years. Yikes!!! I do want to return to work, but must take a refresher course first. Is anyone in a similar situation? My "dream" is to work in a fertility clinic...Uconn perhaps;)...or on a post partum unit. Thankfully my license is current!!! Any advise?

:welcome: Wow, right into corrections! I'm interested in the field, so I guess I'll keep a look out for your posts in the corrections forums:)
I'm in orientation with a few UCONN grads now. Good luck!

Hi Christine,
Good luck in your search. I'm not sure what to tell you about liscensure except if you go to CT.gov and click on Liscensure you should be able to get some info about it. I work in Putnam in a hosptial based homecare agency. Good place to work. Would recommend you look at area hospitals DKH, Backus, Windham--I heard Backus is having a big job fair for nurses
