CO salary, has it changed at all over the years?

I was reading some old posts about CO salary. It was between $21 to $25 a couple years back. Is that still the case? I know Denver Health now pays a little over $26 for new RN (it's on their website) now. What about other places? Does Centura still have the lowest pay?

$25.71/hr at a local Spanish speaking clinic... Yes, that is for a bilingual RN BSN clinic nurse. But to be honest Clinica is ranked in the top 10 for best places to work, according to the Denver Post. It's true!!! $10 per month for some of the finest health insurance! No weekends or nights, holidays are paid and they give you 2 weeks PTO the first year.

My fiance is an RN in a PACU at Rose Med and they started her at 22-23 base pay but with night diff and some weekends she is around $26.hr. But, I say... learn Spanish! :)

Mind you, both of these hourly rates are for new grad nurses with 0 experience and we both went to school in Wichita, KS.

I think it's still about the same. 2 yrs ago I started PRN at Good Samaritan Society, $25 hr. I know the full/part timers had a base of $22 hr over there. Not sure what the hospitals up in N. Co are paying, but I know a friend who went from Cheyenne to Banner (Loveland) and had to fight to keep his rate of pay (had to work nights). Wyoming hospitals do have better pay... A year ago I started at a base of $27.31 hr (with 1 yr RN experience), 8% of base for 2nd shift, 12% of base for 3rd shift, and $2 extra for weekends. Just got a cost of living increase 2 months ago, so now my base is $27.86. I think the new grads start at $25 hr...but not for sure.

With just under 3 years experience this is what I have recently been quoted.

$29 Denver Health

$25 Health Once

$29 Centura

$29 Hospice of Denver

No sure where Exempla falls, and I am not sure how Health One can pay SO terrible!

I am also in wyoming and am surprised that our pay is quite comparable. I am not in acute care but am making $26.50/hr. I started out making $22.50 for PVH 6 years ago. Talk about stagnant wages.

I work at Sky Ridge Medical Center, a HealthOne facility - I think HealthOne is the worst for pay in the greater Denver area! I stay because I love my job in the PACU and I live 2.5 miles away. My wage is decent but not nearly comparable to what I made in the Phoenix area when you factor in cost of living.

Does anyone know what the starting base wage is for a New Grad at Medical Center of the Rockies?

The last I knew it is very difficult to get a job there because the turnover of staff is very low. Maybe things have changed.

I'm starting at Rose in April and my base pay will be $27 more than what I got from Exempla

Not sure, but I had a friend leave Cheyenne(commute from foco) to go work for MCR a few months ago and took a $3.00 hr cut in pay. She had about 14/16 months of nursing experience. I guess the difference would be made up in gas and car expenses. I'm going to say, new grads probably start around $22 or $23 hr.
