I am a CNA and I was working a Nursing Home but my D.O.N called me up there and I went up there her and the H.R. Lady told me that they got complaints from employees saying that I don't answer call lights,i double brief the residents, and I be sleeping on the job and that they will get back with me after they do an investigation and talk to other staff members I am just wondering how will that take or does that mean I am actually fired and that is something they are saying to cover themselves I told them both that all that was lies which is because I am basically the only one on that hall that do rounds and answer call lights and I only get on my phone when I am through doing my rounds and answering lights I only go to sleep when I take my break and that the other aids only do 2 rounds one at 12 and one at 4 but I do mines every 2hrs I wish I can talk to someone who knows more about things like this that happens and tell me what I should do

You REALLY REALLY REALLY want to edit out the name of the facility, the date and change your screen name if that is your real name.

Seriously- this is viewable by over a million members AND anyone in the public, world-wide.

How do I do that

Never EVER sleep or even "rest your eyes" while at work, not even on your break! It's unprofessional and will be viewed (as you have learned) as you being lazy.

If I were you, I'd start looking for another job.

Nursing homes can be very difficult to work in, especially when there are a bunch of women around. It's not for everyone.

Start looking for another job. If your coworkers don't succeed in getting rid of you on this go around, it is only a matter of time until they do get rid of you. Until you are gone, it will be miserable for you there.

You need to get an admin to edit this post for you. Besides the nursing home's name, you also put the DON's name. That combined with your user name and the specific details of your post is risky. Plus you even have the exact time of the incident. As of right now, your post has had almost 300 views.

One of the best things about the internet is anonymity :-) Don't giveaway that precious gift.

You're going to have to wait and see what happens at work. In the meantime to be safe, I would start getting your résumé together and applying elsewhere.

It's probably not a good idea to use your cell phone at work even if you are all caught up with everything. Your coworkers, the visitors/family members, and the residents don't know you are "done." All they see is you sitting there on your phone. Plus there is always something to do at work, especially in a nursing home. Best of luck.

Let me tell you lady, nursing homes are some shady places from the top all the way to the bottom.
