I was just woundering how much did your first checks add up to?

i only worked 68 hours my first pay period and my check with claiming 4 people on my w2's , take home was 729 or thereabouts. i make 12.13 an hour.

why ?

I was a little curious also. The facility I will train at pays, 8 something an hour. I've never been paid so little in my life, okay mabey when I was 16 but, it will be interesting what that will actually come out to after taxes and all.

In 1995...$6.25 an hr..hmmm lets see $468.75 and that was before taxes!!!! And i had a baby!!

I'm assuming that the OP want to gauge how much money to expect in the new position as a CNA. Not a bad question to me.

$17.50/hr working three shifts a week. I pay lots of taxes as I am single without any dependents.

My first pay check was the first week in June and it was $149 w/zero dependants. It was only 3 days of orientation. My first REAL pay check was $675 for 2 weeks. My base rate is $8.50 and $.75 for shift diff. So thats $9.25. And if I do overtime, my pay check is GREAT!!! Hope that helps!

My class time & student time on the floor pays $6.00 hr.Once certified you start at $9.50. I hope to be certifed by Thursday. That is day shift rates.Other shifts pay rate is a little more for Shift Difs..

I think my first check was about $250 but that was 7 years ago and I don't think it was a full 40 hour check. And it would have been a paycheck just from doing classroom work and we were paid $5/hr. Once we reached the floor as students we made $6.50/hr and then once we passed the state test we started out at around $8.30. Keep in mind this is in rural Indiana where cost of living is really low.

When I worked as a CNA, I made around $8, when I worked private care once my cert ran out, I made $12-15. Now, working in a very small elder care facility, I make $11.
