Do you wear an undershirt???

Fact is i sweat ALOT at work. And its nonstop. I start beading up not long after I walk in the door and im still dripping 12 hours later when im scheduled to get out of there. My LTC center uses polyester polo's for company shirts and they are 1) fairly see thru and 2) hot as hell. I've been wearing a plain cotton Tshirt under it but wondering if anyone else has this problem and has a better solution.

And those that wear scrubs, same question to you. Have you found a type of shirt that works best as an undershirt?

Just dont wear an under shirt .....i dont ........ the way im built i dont need a bra either

My first day I wore a cami under my scrub top. Never again. I am so hot and miserable the entire time I'm there I don't want another layer. When I get home and take out my ponytail my hair is all wet like I just got out of the shower! Ugh!

I usually wear a nearly see-through light cotton shirt with 3/4 sleeves, with a scrub top that's a little too big (for ventilation). The undershirt gets damp when I sweat and cools me off during the day.

However, the best bet is to commandeer the A/C and crank it down to 65.

For me it depends on which scrub top I'm wearing & which assignment I'm on. If I get a run with a lot of combative people, I suck it up and put a lightweight long-sleeved tee on under my scrubs so I don't get scratched as easily, even though I sweat like crazy all day. If I'm on dayshift with my grabby (female) coworker I wear a cami & tuck it into my pants so she cannot grab my skin in the muffin top region if my shirt rides up while I'm working. Yes, I've asked her to stop but she won't so I try to keep myself covered as much as possible. And lastly, if a top fits in a way that might show any cleavage, I wear one of my husband's A-line undershirts ("wife beater") under it.

Rare are the blissful days when I can wear just one shirt and be cool and comfortable. Maybe I should go do some shopping next payday & try to find some tops that cover all my bases.

I like the look of a tight colored tank under a scrub top but I think it's too hot. I just try and wear more breathable scrub tops. The Elan line by Barco is pretty cool because they have tiny eyelet holes.

I usually just wear a white men's ribbed unershirt tank top. They are pretty thin, but provide me with enough of a feeling of having something on.

oh man, I'd rather chew off my arm. I get hot enough with just a scrub top, I think I'd die even with a thin undershirt. But I work with lots of girls who wear an undershirt every day.

I sweat like crazy. I am just doing my CNA clinicals and have found that wearing a thin tank top helps absorb the moisture and cools me off when I get a few minutes to chill. LOL.

I wore a tank under my scrub top and felt like passing out from the heat. I sweat so much that it is embarassing.

Some days yes, some no. We have a resident who runs the heater in her room. It is the middle of June in the sub-tropical region of Texas; It is BEYOND miserable to work in there. Gawd.....

And the shower room? Blech. I can't go in there for 5 minutes without emerging with a greasy face and a halo of frizz. On days when I'm planning to go out after work I bargain my showers away... "I'll take 3 of your people for one of my showers!"
