Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta, GA

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

I am in the midst of a career change and have applied to Chamberlain's BSN program. I take the HESI tomorrow and if all goes well, I start May 2nd. I am a single mom who works a full-time job with the telework option three days a week. I have two bachelor degrees and one masters degree so I have completed all of the pre-reqs with the exception of A&P and microbiology. What I would like to know from current students is what are the formats of the classes? I was told that it is 100% on campus but in reading the posts here, I have noticed some people take courses online. I would like to be able to keep my job if possible. If not, I will cross that bridge when I get to it (or hopefully I get this scholarship I applied for). Thanks in advance for any feedback provided! ;)

My advisor stated all the core classes were available online and some of the nursing classes during my first 3 semesters could be online as well (except the labs, they're on campus). Transition to Nursing is only on campus, that should be your very first class. Once, you hit your 4th semester, almost all nursing classes are campus based and include a lab and clinical.

I'm excited about going next year. I'm glad more students have started posting on the atlanta forum

Unless it's changed since I've spoke with an advisor, all first year and some of year year is can be done online. All second year is on canpus because of the nursing classes.

Question regarding background check.

A little history lol: I went through the entire process last year with chamberlain until the background check. At the time my DUI was 5 years old and I was told the check went back 6 years. I didn't want to waste anymore money and be turned down so I decided to not pay the $150 and take classes at another school to continue bringing up my gpa and try again when both my kids are in school. The time is now here so I am wanting to try again but I'm wondering how me being so close to the 6 year background check would affect me. Back when I talked to them they advised me also not to pay if I know it wasn't 6 years, (because they don't have an admission board like other schools where I can explain my mistake and life since that mistake and what I have learned since then also I haven't had even a speeding ticket since) so I didn't. It's a saturday so they are closed lol but I figured why not try this thread.

A more blunt question lol: Has anyone had a past DUI, applied to chamberlain, and started successfully taking classes?

Hi, everyone I'm contemplating a move to Atlanta with my mother and im very interested in chamberlain I wanted to know if anyone has graduated from Chamberlain and have you all found jobs? I just want to make sure Im able to find work after I graduate I've ready mixed things about the school and also wanted to know if the hospitals around take Chamberlain grads seriously because I know some people have such negative opinions about for profit colleges.

Hi! I recently posted in the Chamberlain College forum about going to the Atlanta campus Spring 2018. Are you still going and when are you looking to start?? I have seen one or two people interested, but they're not in Atlanta, and of course there are people saying everything bad about the school. It would be nice staying in touch with a possible future classmate.:)

Hello everyone,

I am working on the remaining general ed classes at a technical school and hope to begin at Chamberlain perhaps in the Fall of 2017! Only have chemistry, philosophy, public speaking, & statistics left. I figured I would save myself some time and money fnishing these at Gwinnett Tech before I start spending the big bucks :) Anyone else in the same boat?

NNM

No. I'm doing the same and I checked the information provided per session and course and got somewhere btw 45 and 50k

Could you give an example of what you mean by splitting your nursing classes? Like a non-nonznursing wit nursing class to lighten your load?

I have the the bottom portion of this comment in another review website. Did you copy-paste it? It's verbatim the same.

I missed my second exam in NR222 exam. My overall NR222 GPA is 73%. Do you think I should continue or drop. Please advice. You can email me. [email protected]
