Total cases as SRNA..

Specialties CRNA

Published

Just wondering if anyone here would like to share the # of cases completed by the end of your senior SRNA education..

I'll go first: Graduate in August of this year and have 846 so far. Hope to break 1,000..

Reason I am asking is that some programs barely have over the number required and some programs have substantially more. I have two friends in the central portion of the US that recently broke 1,000 cases and we graduate at the same time.

I realize that this is basically juggling statistics around and alot of variables come into play - how long your CV rotation was, complexity (and usually longer cases) your senior year.....Just wanted to get a feel for the numbers you will graduate with.

Thanks

I have close to 600 and graduate in 9 months. Should be over 1000 by then.

by the end of the month i will be over 800 and done!!!!!

I have about 900 and graduate in 8 months. Should be well over 1000--class average over the past three years has been 1200

Maybe 30. ;)

I am in my 9th week of clinical and go 2 days a week. I have no idea how many I'll end up with.

What do you count as a case?

Doing the case from start to finish? Is induction only a case? Is emergence only a case? Lunch break?

Some classmates counted ANY participation asa case for them. This gives the false impression of # of cases.

We don't check on # of cases when hiring. Only that they have passed boards and if not, they are eligible and have graduated from an accredited school in good standing.

Don't sweat the #'s

I've already been hired so I'm not sweating anything. It was just a question, simple as that.
