Will I still take the CRNE even if I passed the NCLEX?

Good day everyone!

I am based here in Canada, and I have read that starting January 2015, the CRNE will be replaced by NCLEX. I am an NCLEX passer, so I was wondering if CRNE will be replaced by NCLEX next year, will my license be considered?

Because the exam is only part of the registration process, the only accurate information regarding how transferable your NCLEX will be obtained directly from the regulatory body in the province where you live. It may be allowable or it may not. For example, you would still need to provide proof of completion of an approved nursing education program, meeting language proficiency requirements and proof of safe practice before you could be registered. The same goes for Canadians who pass NCLEX and want to work in the US. It's never as simple as it looks on the surface.

@ OP when i enquired with the crnbc they said any NCLEX taken after 1982 will be accepted as Exam entry to practice come Jan. 2015.
