UCLA Summer 2017 RN New Grad Residency

U.S.A. California

Published

UCLAs application for their Summer 2017 New Graduate Residency program opened this weekend so figured I'd start the forum where we could all converse, update and support each other through the LONG and stressful process.

STAFF UPDATE

I called HR today and they said all offers should be completed by July 11th..

Also, they are calling back by applicant, not by unit!

Thanx for the update!

Do we get a rejection email or do we have to assume we didn't postion if we didn't get an offer? :/

Also did anyone get an actual rejection yet?

Interviewed for 8icu liver transplant.

Like the other poster said Per HR they make decisions by July 11 (it's also a LOOOOONG weekend) so HR probably won't be making calls til Wednesday next week at the soonest.

And I'm not sure if this applies to all units but the OR packet said managers have until end of July to make fina decisions (I'm guessing to fill those spots who were picked initially but might have turned down offer)

We do get actual rejection emails. I've also interviewed with 8Icu, But I only have gotten rejection from 7ICU. So im not sure how accurate the information that HR notifies applicants by applicants rather than per unit

Regarding ICU, do you have to have experience (capstone/residency) in order to apply and be competitive?

For anyone who was offered positions in 8ICU, have you received an official offer from Human Resources?

Yes HR contacted a number of us officially on 8ICU and also e-mailed, roughly two weeks ago.

Hey I think I worked ED with you a few weeks back. I would love to pick your brain regrading the hiring process for the ICU as a internal app b/c I'm getting a lot of different info. I will apply the end of the summer

Hey guys, for those accepted your status says Extended Offer/Accepted? Waiting until the end of July to hear more from them for the next steps is anxious, because I want to look for apartments already!

HR just emailed me with an offer for OR at RR. Goodluck!

For sure, direct message me if you can, there is a lot of incorrect info on these forums, too many cooks in the kitchen. Or on IG, my username. I'd love to help in anyway I can.
