Not yet. She said she would give HR her top 5 candidates probably tomorrow then HR will contact those individuals to do that online skills survey thing. This process is ridiculously slow

The interview as rather informal as it was just with the nurse manager (no panel) She asked pretty standard questions like about conflict, miscommunication, stress and there were no situational questions. Do you have an interview coming up?

Hi everyone,

I got a call on April 12 to schedule an interview for cardiac telemetry. She said they were interviewing for that unit on the 18th, 19th and 20th of this month (mine's on the 19th).

A bit about me: I had my final practicum on a cardiac telemetry unit, though my primary interest is peds. I understand no peds positions were available for this cohort I went to UC Davis for undergrad in English and French (double major... so useful! Not.) but nursing school on the east coast, and I moved back to Sac after graduation (July 2011). I took the NCLEX in November. I've been looking for a job since graduation but most actively since November/getting my RN license. For the record this will be my first nursing interview, and the first time I got anything more than an automated rejection letter.

I applied to the previous cohort and heard nothing back, even when I emailed to inquire. So if you hear nothing this time around, apply again.

To the people obsessing about the application status online - it means nothing. It changes all the time, it's not personalized, and it just causes anxiety. Don't even bother looking at it.

I also received a call Thursday for the telemetry floor (dream unit) and am interviewing on the same day as you! I'm really nervous as well, this is my first interview since graduating in December. Best of luck, I hope we both get it! :)
