St. Joseph's Providence Hospital?

U.S.A. California

Published

I have an interview today with St. Joseph's providence hospital in burbank, ca. I have never been to this hospital and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the hospital is and if it was a good environment to work in.

Thanks!

Have you received your training schedule for the first two weeks yet? I got mine yesterday it shows 16 hours of classroom and says contact manager to schedule 2 preceptor days for week of June 9th-15th.

Were you able to find out more information about the scrubs yet? All I have is what my classmate told me and HR telling me to contact my manager.

Hi there! I also got into the program! I will be med/surge as well. Congrats to everyone!!!! I'm curious to know how you guys have information on our schedule? Have you already filled out paperwork and completed the physical?

Congrats Workngrl! I am so glad more of us are showing up on this site. Yes I have finished all my pre employment paperwork ect... Will you be working days or nights?

I too have received the first 2 weeks of my schedule. As far as the scrubs are concerned, based on my observations I believe that there is no specific color coordination. I could be wrong, but from what I have seen from other Providence hospitals, that is my conclusion.

Thanks! That was my observation too from what I saw when I was there filling out my paperwork ect... I guess it is time to shop for new scrubs :)

I will be working the day shift. Sounds like everyone has already filled out paperwork and gotten the physical. Wonder why I am so far behind. LOL! Don't have my appointment until next week. I am so excited!!!!!:)

Day shift nice! I think it all depended on when background was complete ect...Atleast you have appointment scheduled. It is very exciting as all our hard work in school and looking for a job has paid off.

Tele is 3N, I am doing nights also. I would prefer scrubs over business casual, so I am thinking that I am going to go with scrubs...but let me know what you guys decide or if you hear anything else about it! :x3:

I still haven't decided what to wear to orientation. I did buy a few new pairs of scrubs and will look into buy more. Have any of you contacted your nurse managers yet to set up your second week schedule?

I was just about to call my manager to discuss the schedule when I got a call from hr that the start date has changed to June 17th.

Did you guys get the same call? She said an email was to follow. So I figured we are waiting on calling our managers? This is all I know bc hr left a message and the line was busy when i called back...does anyone have any info about the date change?

I actually left a message for my nurse manager this morning trying to set up my second week schedule. I was also informed this afternoon about the change in start dates. All I know we will be starting our orientation at St. Joseph's instead of Tarzana.

Hello All! I also got accepted! I am be in the Ortho unit! I emailed with --------------- today and she confirmed that change in start date to the 17th. She said she is waiting to hear back from the Clinical Education Dept. regarding the agenda. She will update us once she gets it. Also, when I signed my paperwork I asked about what to wear and she said scrubs were good!

Congrats to all!
