Sharp New Grad Program Summer 2013

  1. 0 So like our predecessors I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all the new applicants for Sharp's summer 2013 new grad program. I just applied today and can't believe how nervous I am since I hit that submit button!! Good luck to all!!

I applied for the second time. The "preceptorship preferred" thing is new.
I interviewed last time but didn't make the cut. Hopefully this time will be different!!
    Good luck to all!!

I just applied too - I was hoping it would have more questions to fill out.
Its just the resume and supplemental questions that will hopefully take us to the next step?

    Good Luck to all!

I also applied. I chose Memorial Med Surg Residency starting in July and Psych at Memorial starting in September. Good luck...wish these positions would start opening up for more new grads!

Expharmagirl, what departments did you apply to, this time and last time?

I applied to Tele at Grossmont and Med Surg residency at Memorial last time. Last time I got an interview with Tele.

This time I applied to The PCU residencies at Chula and Grossmont.

Just an FYI, they take about 2 months to start calling people.

I noticed some of the positions are part-time...but I guess better than nothing?

Blueorchid, yes definitely. One of the residencies I applied to is part time. It's definitely better than nothing. You could probably pick up hours when the census is up.

ExPharma- ugh, 2 months? Did they give you any feedback from the last time you applied?

No, they did not. Frustrating. It was a 50/50 chance since they interviewed twice as many people as they had spots.
