San Ramon Regional Medical Center New Grad Program

U.S.A. California

Published

I recently applied to San Ramon's Versant RN Residency program and I was wondering if any other applicants had heard anything. I was told they had over a thousand applicants so we may not hear much for a while.

Does anybody know how many spots they have?

Not yet, I am still waiting...

I am also interested in how people do when trying for this program.

Specializes in Emergency, Trauma, Critical Care.

I did clinicals there when I was in my RN program. It is a small private hospital. I believe they had pictures posted of their previous versant residency students. There was 4 or 5 total I believe. So I would assume the number wouldn't vary too much. This was in fall of 2008 by the way.

I called and found out there are 10 spots for the 1000+ applicants. If I remember correctly, they said we may not hear until mid-July because they have to get through all those apps and at that point they will bring in 60 or so applicants for some sort of interview/meet and greet. I am not sure I fully understood but that's what I gathered.

I spoke to an HR employee and they told me that they will hopefully know by this coming Monday the first round of candidates that they will be inviting to the first round of interviews. The first interview is going to be a luncheon where the candidates will mingle with nurse managers, etc. So, hopefully they actually will begin contacting this week!!!

Wishing you good luck in the selection process mmichellef.

Did anyone here from this new grad program? I applied also and wanted to find out if they have made any calls or done any interviewing. Good luck to everyone!

I still have not heard anything from San Ramon. From what I understand, I believe that they are supposed to begin contacting applicants sometime this week to call them in for the first round of interviews which are supposed to take place mid to late August. I just took a position with Stanford, so I won't be going through interviewing with San Ramon if they contact me, but good luck to everyone!!!! I hope that you all get it..keep me posted!! :yelclap:

Congratulations on your new job, mmichelle. Hope you enjoy working at Stanford.

I called last week and was told they were postponing their new grad program until 2012. So much for that application. I am surprised they didn't send out an email to the the applicants. I was told our applications stay on file. I could have misunderstood so if anyone else wants to call and clarify let us know what you were told.

Sorry to hear this. Too bad they didn't notify anyone.
