New grad jobs

U.S.A. California

Published

I'm graduating this May from a RN program, in the bay area. I know that I may have to move out of the area as new Grad positions are getting to be pretty difficult to get. Can anyone suggest hospitals preferably around LA, that are accepting new Grads?

thank you

Specializes in Tele Step Down, Oncology, ICU, Med/Surg.

Good luck! Am discouraged to hear this as I can't move from the Bay Area.

Specializes in Transplant/Surgical ICU.

Kaiser (all locations), cedars in beverly hills, hunigton in pasadena, UCLA in westwood, Saint Johns in santa Monica, USC in Los Angeles, USC-LAC (county), Childrens hospital, West hills hospital... The list goes on and on. Most hospitals hire new grads. Its competitive so you might not be able to dictate your preferred shift anf unit specilaty. But, its better than not having a job.

Good luck with the search

Best bet and easiest way to get a job, even in the Bay Area is to get a job at the factility that you are most interested in while you are still in school. Perferably as a nurse tech or extern, the managers meet you and will usually offer you a job if they like you.

And this goes for any location.

Next is to sit for the NCLEX as soon as possible as it is always easier to get a job when that is already done and passed.

Best of luck to you.

Good luck! It so competitive. I've been looking for 3 month by now in LA and surronding cities. No luck yet.

Excellent advice! This is how I was able to get a job at a hospital in the Bay.
