Hello!

I've applied to the LVN to BSN cohort at National University in SD that begins in January 2013. Anyone else there apply, too? I'm currently waiting for an email so I can take the TEAS.

the practice test is kinda crazy if you ask me especially the pricce and you caqn only look at it twice. My co worker who is an rn now (new grad) said that her teas test was asking her about rocks and clous and hardly any anatomy........... is the math more difficult on the practice tests/books? thats my weakest point.

GOing into the generac RN program seems more difficult as they have 200 applicants...

I can calculate your score if you want. Did you get As in all the other classes?

DO you think the test is differenct depending on wheather you choose ADN or BSN on the profile site? My friends are going to a community college and their test results (practice test results) say ADN on the top.... and mine says BSN on the top..............

I think the ADN test is easier. I read in the other forums that applicants got in with TEAS score of low 70s.The math section I thought was easier on the real test. Make sure you know percentages and fractions

Can we switch the profile to ADN and still use that teas score to get into national ? hahaha I want an easy teas test If worst comes to worst this teas score will be sent to 3 local community collegs where I have been provisionally accepted, but I would much rather get a BSN out of it.

My advisor told me that majority of LVN-BSN applicants do not have good grades. So I'm hoping that's true and that will help us stand out this cycle

also at the community college you get the same amount of points like one of the ones that is on backup for me is 0 points for anything below a 62% 20 points for a 62-72% and 25 poionts for a 73-82 and 30 points from 82-92 and 35 poionts for 92 and up............. so thats different becasue someone who gets a 62 gets the same pooints as someone with 72

Haha I don't think they will accept the ADN TEAS score. I think you should stick to the BSN program. Nursing is so competitive now and a BSN will help you stand out plus at NU it would take 15-22 months. That's nothing

That's not fair. I thought about applying to the community colleges but some of their students were telling me that they stopped putting people on the wait list to bring their current waitlist down

yeah none of the 3 schools I applied for have waitlists. but if you have a good gpa you have a good chance. My secretary at the hospital got in with a 3.0 and a 72 teas score.

How long is the program and is ita BSN program? It's hard to turn away from an accelerated BSN program

its lvn to adn and its 3 sememsters at community college so its a year and a half......... thats thats why National UNiversity is my first choice. Bed time for me... gonna dream of getting 100 on the teas test :)
