National University LVN-to-BSN 2015 cohort 7
Good luck today! I hope you all do well on your exam. I have been in constant communications with school officials and am finally enrolled in the OB course that starts next month. Hopefully, I don't have to go through this whole ordeal again with Pediatrics. Let me know if you have any questions about the program. If anyone needs bls, nrp, acls, or pals certification let me know, my friend will give you a discount on it.

I went to school in California. I didn't realize I posted in the international forum. This is my first time starting a thread.

My friend is also applying to the same program as you. She's scheduled to take the teas next Wednesday at national.

I've been on the wait list for those classes since May. National says cohorts come first. They have also told me that since those classes are hard to get in to that they will test me out. Again, they have been saying that since May. They have given me a lot of empty promises. If the teas is now worth 40% that means you 34.4 points! That's awesome. Do you have a high gpa?

I completed the LVN to BSN program at National, but I'm in a very unique situation where I am still not eligible to take the NCLEX, because I challenged the LVN board due to my military experience and the RN board won't let me take the exam until I take Peds and OB. Those courses are not part of the LVN to BSN program and National University is not willing to help me. They've been sending me on a wild goose chase since May.

Challenge LVN Board and completed LVN-BSN bridge still not eligible to take RN NCLEX
Hello, I was a Navy Corpsman and was eligible to challenge the LVN board without having to go to school for it. Once I obtained my LVN license, I applied to the LVN to BSN nursing program at National University in San Diego. I completed the program in May and I am still not eligible to take the RN NCLEX because the board says I still need Peds and OB. My school is not helping me at all with this situation. None of this makes sense to me because I should be eligible to take my RN exam and my LVN license should be equivalent to me taking those classes since it's part of the LVN curriculum and not part of the LVN to BSN curriculum. I am wondering if anyone has ever been in this situation and what they did to remedy it. I would really appreciate any information or guidance anyone can provide.

That's great! You did awesome, and 86% gives you 25.8 points. As long as your gpa is high and you didn't repeat any classes I'm positive you'll get in. You did an amazing job!

There are other books that can help you, but I recommend focusing on the ATI study guide to help you. The science portion is the hardest, but if you focus on the other 3 sections you should still get a good score. I took the exam and was still able to score 80% and science was my weakest area on the exam. I focused on the other areas and they boosted up my score.

The ATI study guide is a great resource for the TEAS since NU has a contract with ATI. Throughout the nursing program you will have to take ATI exams and pass with a level 2 in order to pass the class.

It has to be 60 days in between exams if you're taking it at NU. If you take it outside of NU there's no time frame that you have to wait in between each exam. If you are applying to other schools you should check what their policies are.

Good luck to both of you and I hope both of you get in. You can also take the TEAS at SDSU every day until you get the score you want. NU let's you take the TEAS an unlimited amount of time, you just have to submit a score by the day of your scheduled essay and exam.

You are not required to pay the orientation fee of approximately $3,000 on the day of orientation. NU will charge the amount to your account like it's a class. Congratulations to all that got accepted!
