i do not have any idea how many students apply to lmc. i know at ccc, its about 300. i checked to see how many apply to sacramento city/american river college nursing programs and it was over a thousand:eek:

I would bet LMC has at at least a couple hundred. It is one of the more popular.

My parents called me this evening to let me know I got "good news" from LMC. I was so hoping they were sending out lottery info early! haha
Anyhoo, it was just a letter letting me know I was qualified for the lottery. So look out for this letter if you haven't received it yet!

Yes I received that letter over a month ago. I had no idea what it was. I thought I had left off some important info on my application or something.

Hi,
Now im worried...because the only think I ever recvd from LMC is a print out that stated all my transcripts were recvd, but nothing about me qualifing for the lottery???
hmmm.... well, you may very well get it soon, since it seems they are by no means sent out at once. but perhaps it's something to call and check on, just in case?
I would call and check. They usually send the qualified form shortly after you send in the application. I believe her name is Sue at LMC.

I have applied to Los Medanos, Contra Costa and College or Marin. I would have applied to Merritt but the stories and some friends' experiences were sufficient deterrent. The waiting is as bad, if not worse, than the first time through college, since it puts planning future events very much on hold. I think LMC has one of the later lotteries. As a slightly older first-year-to-be, it would bs nice to know what's next.

NBB2013....I see that you applied to Merritt as well. Have you heard anything about being eligible for their lottery yet? It seems odd that we have heard from LMC but not Merritt?
I have not heard anything from Merritt, which does surprise me, as well, especially since I read somewhere on the application that we would hear from them before the lottery to let us know we are qualified.
I'll let you know if I hear anything, though!
Thank you and I will do the same!
