I would call and check. They usually send the qualified form shortly after you send in the application. I believe her name is Sue at LMC.

Did you call Sue in admissions? She is not in the nursing office. I wonder if they were closed for spring break? Don't give up, they may have just been overwhelmed with all the applications. :nurse:

Does anybody know when Los Medanos will send out letters whether you got accepted or not. I received a letter about 2 months ago saying that I was qualified. I know that they will start lottery around the month of April, but I'm just really nervous and anxious to know. Is anyone else feeling this way? I know I should be positive and optimistic but I can't help to think that I may not get chosesn this year at the nursing schools I applied at. Anyone have any info. regarding when they'll be sending out letters? Any info. will help. Thanks!

The lottery is done in early May. I'm not sure the exact date. Once they do it, they send out notices pretty soon thereafter. Good luck! It is nerve racking waiting.

Does anybody know when Los Medanos will send out letters whether you got accepted or not. I received a letter about 2 months ago saying that I was qualified. I have not heard anything as of yet. I just researched a post from last year and starting June 1, students were announcing that they had gotten acceptance letters. So maybe the end of May, early June. This waiting is annoying, however, I do have tons of homework to keep me busy:eek:. Plus, I am also preparing to apply to graduate school for OT if I do not get accepted into any nursing programs this year. So i have been doing a little shadowing, but if I can get in nursing school, I am definitely accepting that:lol2:

I believe in mid-May letters go out. I never did receive that letter stating qualification, so at least be happy that you're qualifed for the lottery. Good luck to all!!!!

I have a guarantee of acceptance for 2011 as I was accepted last year (after 4 years in the lottery) but when I received my acceptance letter, I asked for a one year deferrment due to the health of a family member. LMC and ---- were extremely helpful. I am pretty excited to begin in August.

They do the lottery in May and I got my notification at the end of May/very early June. The waiting is the brutal!

Yes! The waiting is brutal! I guess that means that I have another 2 months of waiting! Yikes! :eek: I just have to be patient and hope and pray for the best! Congratulations by the way in getting accepted this year! A friend of mine actually got in last year on her first try. She was alternate #13 and 3 weeks before school, they informed her that she was in. She was actually on vacation when they called, so she had to rush back home and finish the additional requirements that the nursing department needed her to do (drug test, background, teas, etc). Wow! I still can't believe you waited for four years. Did you apply anywhere else? I'm glad that the nursing department is nice to let you enter the following year. Shows that they do care about the students' seriousness about nursing school and majority of students (including me) want this so bad! Congratulations again! Best of luck to you!

I only applied to LMC as I was also considering Samuel Merrit School of Nursing. But, it just did not make sense to spend over 50K for the eMSN. I was planning on their program, even took the Pharmacology and Pathophysiology which they require prior to the start of the BSN and eMSN. But, decided I would stick with LMC. The others were just too far away.

I can tell you all that the results were posted on June 1st at 5:00pm last year because I was there in person :) The people that didn't go down to the school and just waited for the acceptance letter in the mail received it within a week of the posting. Good luck to you all, I know how nerve wracking it is to have to wait!!
