Alright, I am 90% sure I won't take the job in Inglewood thanks to you allnurses people... (yes, the money is still tempting me, I am only human people!). So, what about San Jose. I have heard HCA is hiring a ton of people, but what's the city like? Good place to live? Salaries somewhere in line with cost of living?

Have you read "Baby ER" by Edward Humes? It's about the NICU at Miller Children's. I really enjoyed it.

I bought a copy online, not very expensive on the half.com site.

Wow, Fergus, how exciting! I'm a little over an hour away, to the east toward Palm Springs. Our summers are hotter (and smoggier), and we don't get the morning fog (or the sometimes afternoon fog) that you will.
