LA County College of Nursing LVN-RN Summer 2014

Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those of us who applied to the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health for the LVN-RN bridge Summer 2014 cohort. I took the TEAS V on 2/22/14 and I passed with the 5 bonus points! Yay! This is the only school I want to go to and really hope I get in otherwise I have to wait another semester since this is the ONLY school I applied to! yikes! So I am anxiously waiting for the acceptance letters to be sent out in mid-April! I am a little nervous since I have not worked as an LVN so I hope that my schooling has prepared me enough for this program! We will see!

Hey there I haven't really kept in touch but I too have been waiting for the mail and for a phone call! Hopefully they are still making out calls tomorrow. I called last week and they said they would begin this week handing out notices

Summer2013, I am getting nervous too.. I keep thinking that it shouldn't take more than 2 days to call 30 people right??!! I dunno I'm trying not to stress too much. If this is where God wants me to be then it will be if not then that's okay too, I think the stress is just getting to me. I figure I will give until Friday afternoon to wait to call them again if I haven't heard anything by then. So we should be getting some kind of notification hopefully this week?

Did they ask you your name when you called last week, Summer2013? So

And I was the same way too it doesn't take a week to call 30 people. If I happen to hear back or anything I will let you know

Okay, so the mailman came and still no letter. Now the only hope for today is a phone call!

I wonder if the school will pay for the anti-anxiety medication I'm going to need because of this waiting game! I think I need to relax! Lol!

@lovemy3boys, I carry my phone everywhere I go, I hear it ring and my heart stops. I find myself calling my phone just to make sure its ringing. This is the only school I applied to, so i have no back up! May we find peace in our sleep tonight!

@Summet2013, I'm exactly in the same boat! This is the only school I applied to also. Earlier my phone was in the other room and it started ringing and I jumped up so fast and ran that my son got scared and thought something bad was happening! You're right, we need peace tonight!
