LA County College of Nursing LVN-RN Summer 2014

Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those of us who applied to the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health for the LVN-RN bridge Summer 2014 cohort. I took the TEAS V on 2/22/14 and I passed with the 5 bonus points! Yay! This is the only school I want to go to and really hope I get in otherwise I have to wait another semester since this is the ONLY school I applied to! yikes! So I am anxiously waiting for the acceptance letters to be sent out in mid-April! I am a little nervous since I have not worked as an LVN so I hope that my schooling has prepared me enough for this program! We will see!

Yikes, Im feeling the same way now, that im finding out the acceptance letters are going out. Well the questionnaire is used to see how they can help us out once in the program, but im pretty sure its a way for them to make decisions perhaps on students who are with the same amount of points? not sure? If any of you get a letter let us know ASAP, I will be checking the mail everyday now!

Summer2013, I called and asked about the LVN-RN bridge letters and those are the ones that are getting sent out next week!! Well that's what she said anyways, hopefully they keep to that timeline!

Thanks, and I hope so too, last year I received my letter of notification on May 1.

They are definitely speeding up things, or I must have been the last one to receive a letter LOL

Oh no! I have heard that county has a reputation for really dragging out their timeline, so I hope this isn't the case this year. When I spoke with her she seemed pretty confident that they would be sent out next week and it was the woman who guided the orientation who I spoke to so I am pretty sure of all people she would know best about when things will get rolling.

I hope this is not the start of the drag, jk lets just be optimistic. If they said they were then most likely they are sending them out!

Yes, hopefully! So have you guys applied to any other schools? I did not! which kind of freaks me out but this is the only place I want to go.

Alright, it's that start of the week that County said they will start sending out acceptance letters! I know it couldn't have come in the mail today but I had to check anyways! Well I will update daily whether or not I received one. I hope you will too!

If there is anyone out there who have also applied to the LVN-RN bridge 2014 but have not responded please feel free to chime in so we can all support each other through this stressful process!!

Alright, the mail man came and still no letter. I will check in again tomorrow and update!

I called county and they said letters will be going out in another week or two. :( I am not applying but a friend of mine is and I called for her yesterday.

Yes, I just called today also and the woman I spoke with said they are working on them right now so within a week she said. She also asked me my name so I think I should probably refrain from calling anymore, I don't want them to take note that I am bugging too much! lol! And I did not receive a letter today either. :no:
