O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

I got a stethoscope for Xmas with my name engraved :)) it's so purty ! Lol

Regarding the background I have finished drug test and background check. They will send you the form via email if not call then. You get it done at labcorp on Geary and sutter and results are ready within 1-2 days.

I got my hearing test done and eye exam at my doctors office. All I have left is to scan my immunity to mmr in to certifiedbackground.com and waiting on varciella results.

It probably states vaccinations OR titers bc if the titers show your immune then you don't need the vaccination.

Hows the studying going for everyone?! 16 more days! oh and has anybody got the other 3 books that we had vouchers for in the bundle? it was the lewis book, lewis stimulation cd and lewis study guide...I asked the bookstore and they said we will get them the first day of class seemed kind of odd to me. I emailed Maureen and informed her of this just in case and she wasnt aware of the issue.

I just received my ebook bundle in the mail and I'm downloading the books to begin studying today. I won't be getting those other books for a few weeks. Dhe told us we won't need them for at least 2-4 weeks into the semester, so I will buy them when needed.

I haven't done my background stuff yet either. Does anyone know if I will have to go to locations in SF for that? I live an hour away, so it's not convenient for me to get out there because I work full time.

I haven't heard anything about the 3 books yet. At the bookstore they had me write my name and phone number on a list to be called when they were available. Did you guys do that?

They are all listed as incomplete still. I uploaded everything during the week before Christmas, so I am starting to get worried why it's taking so long. My background check is completed, but that took 2-3 days to process. My drug test form still has not shown up yet, I'm not sure why. It says it should have shown up within 24 hours. I think I'm going to check with customer service on Monday. I'm not sure about the locations. I guess the drug test form will say? I guess if it is done by Labcorp you can check out the Labcorp website for locations. I only know of the ones in SF. Have you gone to Leetone yet?

I hope they can give us practice tests. Regarding the required books, I only bought the ebook bundle so my bundle came with the med surg book/study guide and cd's. Let me know if you need it before school starts. I can email the required assignments to you if you don't get it before.

Hey so they have practice test and problems on the evolve website for the calculate with confidence book. I took the summer bridge math class which used this book and has helped.

Thanks for offering the medsurg ! I actually realized I have it on my ebook just not the physical book. Thanks tho!

Thanks for the tip! I didn't realize that they were available today, so I asked them to send it to me too.

Now, time to study hard. I'm reading and doing all the practice problems from the chapters on the list she gave us for the Calculate with Confidence book.

Hey, do you guys remember for positive tb skin test if we need to do both chest xray and quantiferon blood test? or just chest x-ray. I have a history of positive skin test before.

I believe that you only need a chest xray because they stated that most of the hospitals do not accept the Quantiferon blood test anymore (ie. SFGH). I would double check on the yellow packet that it had the physical info on. It had all the info on there. PS 13 MORE DAYS EVERYONE !!! AHHHH :nailbiting::up:

Anyone else notice that the downloadable version of the forms online at certifiedbackground.com are different than the one's in our packet? The online version has a different 3rd page. It is some weird chart thing.

Certifiedbackground.com contacted me stating I must complete that chart and resubmit everything for approval.

Which is fine. But it was NOT in our original packet. I told -------------- but she was no help at all. Am I going crazy?
