CSULB Fall 2012 BSN

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

So now i dont bother to care bout how they will select ppl (tired of it already: budget cut, blah blah) .I'm Just waitin ( but do not care) : either an accepted letter, or denied letter. So disappointed with the attitude they're giving us (via the phone)

Ok so I talked to several people. and I have even worse news. The worst being all, is my own...

I talked to the undergrad coordinator who was really nice. She said that they had everyone ranked and ready to email last Friday. Then the director comes in with a problem regarding the budget. She said that they don't even know if they can ACCEPT CSULB STUDENTS, much less transfers...Sorry guys, even CSULB students are screwed. She said that they have to make a bunch of changes and it isn't looking good for transfers and CSULB students alike. I am thinking they may cut the program out for fall. But that is what it sounded like to me.

As for my personal news. She transferred me to (you know who) and I asked her about the admissions issue. She said she fought admissions and there was no way that admissions would accept me. Apparently my grades at Cal Poly screwed me over (I got all Fs one quarter due to losing a job and a close family member at the same time). She said if I got that exsponged then they would accept me. So long story short......EVEN IF I was accepted to the program, the admissions would still deny me and therefore I couldn't get into the program anyway.

WOW....I am basically crying on the phone with her because I wasted my time, money and gas going to the interview and I was an automatic rejection from the start. I feel so backstabbed.

I give up, on this major, on this state, on these universities.

Yeah if I would have known my TEAS score would have a big influence on decisions I would have 1. Studied for it 2. Retaken it. I took it just "for the heck of it" without previous studying and felt pretty good about my overall score since it placed me at 9.5/10 and my math was 93%. I feel like I'm developing ulcers throughout this waiting process =(I called 1 [phone]

Wow, even csulb students?!!

At least we know the staff at the SON are doing their job and are trying to get us in, like in Dark's case. I still wish i knew my ranking as of friday.

Are they really going to cancel the Fall 2012 cohort for everyone?

They need to get their **** together! I'm ******* tired of waiting! This is total ********!

I am sorry. that is what two people at the office told me.....Not even CSULB student are safe. When that happens, then it is bad....but do not go off what I said (about them cancelling the fall cohort) but that is my speculation....

I would honestly blame the state. Blame them spending money on **** that isn't priority. Blame politicians who rather get the vote and make hundreds of thousands of $$ a week. They with their private jets and souped up cars. Blame them for giving free **** to illegals (inlcuding education) and free **** for people who have too many kids and sit on their ass not working.....

That is who you should blame. Not only does it screw students but teachers and support staff as well

I went to an enrollment service this morning to ask my question. She said that I was admitted by both university and nursing dep. They will send out a letter in one or two weeks. Is this really happening? I hope I am not misunderstanding.

i doubt that is correct i and ana both talked to the dept and they dont know how long or what they are going to do

i bet your were admitted to the major, NOT the program

I am second bachelors, so same as transferred. But I have myCSUB already.in website, it says I was admitted. I also accepted the offer by online.

Like I said before, I think that's just for admission to the school, and not necessarily to the nursing program as well.
