Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters! :eek:

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

What does "check off every student" even mean?

I'm sure that it has to do with wing accepted to the actual university, because without that acceptance it ultimately doesnt matter what the nursing department says. BTW I just checked the status of my applications and found out that I was admitted to the university. However for some reason I'm having some trouble actually activating my MyCSULB account

If that's the case, then they will be taking transfers. If they were only taking CSULB students, they wouldn't have to check.

I doubt checking takes 3 weeks though. :rolleyes:

Basically, they accepted less transfers and took in CSULB students with lower stats.

I agree. That makes perfect sense and NO it shouldn't take 3wks, but IF we were ALREADY RANKED it shouldn't have taken this long for responses either. I also called tech support about not being able to activate my account and he said its most likely because my acceptance was granted today and it takes about 24hrs and it should work fine tomorrow. So since they're checkin with enrollment services it be logical to assume they are taking transfers, I guess the question is just how many?!? Dun dunnn dunnnnn (insert scary organ music and girl with horrified face)

I just checked my admission status and I was accepted too! This is what it looks like online.. According to you it's legitimate, right?

I am also having trouble accessing my myCSULB account, but I'll see if I still have trouble tomorrow. Good news is that I am also a transfer student, so those of you who are transfers with high scores keep your hopes up and check your admission status here: CSULB Enrollment Services. Make sure you have your CSULB ID when you check your status.

Hello everyone,

I've been following this thread for quite sometime but just made an account to let you all know what I have been told by enrollment services. Firstly, I was accepted into CSULB as a CC transfer student and was told that by being accepted under the major: Nursing Basic BS, I was accepted into the Nursing Program as well (much like Dr. Choco). Whether or not I believe it, I am still unsure.

To transfer students: I also mentioned the issue regarding budget cuts and was told that the actual University is accepting more students this coming Fall 2012 semester because those budget cuts will come into affect, Spring 2013. Their reasoning was to take in as many students as possible before these budget cuts happen.

Enrollment Services had nothing to add on the issue regarding the next Nursing cohort because to their knowledge, nothing has changed. The person that I was speaking to over the phone also mentioned that they would be the first to know if any such issue had occurred.

To end, I suppose we should all just be a little more patient before jumping to conclusions because we cannot have an idea of what is going on a the moment if the school itself is not updated. I am not arguing that this situation is unlike what happen to applicants last Fall, although, I hope that is not the case. However, it would be pointless to start ranting now until we can confirm that is what's happening.. Then we can rant for a week, haha.
