Hi!
I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!
Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?
I agree with Ikirchty that being accepted by the university doesn't mean we are into the nursing program yet. My status online shows that I have been offered admission, but I'll only jump for joy once I receive the letter from nursing department with the orientation date.
What upsets me when I hear the word "budget cuts" are articles like this:

Some CSU's have funds to increase president's salary but they can't afford to take in an extra student. It is just unfair and unacceptable.
Thanks jess,This school has too many problems and has backstabbed too much. I have back up schools too. But I haven't heard from then, nor will until summer.Oh well...I guess its goodbye for me. I will be getting into some other program. There is no hope for me. I just wished they would have told me that I was an automatic denail instead of giving me false hope. Good luck everyone and I hope that all this **** your being put through gets you where you need to go. Whether its at csulb or not. Your end goals is to be an RN. Good luck again and farewell!

I, too, got accepted as a transfer from a CC into their RN-BSN but never had an interview or anything (maybe the process is different). Like myallnursesusername says, they're taking in a crap ton of students before budget cuts happen. Therefore, being admitted under nursing doesn't necessarily mean you got in. It's probably just a title and you take random classes until a nursing spot opens. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I don't want to get happy that I got accepted, take the university acceptance with a possibility of not being in the program and leave behind another CSU that is definitive of being in their program.
