on Indeed.com, Corona Regional Medical Center wanna hire RN New Grad to be Clinical Partner (= CNA). I guess the economy is not getting better anytime soon!

Specializes in Couplet Care/Newborn Nursery.
I think the interview went well. Hopefully I make it to phase 3 (panel interview). I'm really excited now.

People may want to kill me after this comment but I think more hospitals should follow the same process. Have you come in and learn the ropes then move you on to the next level.

I think my interview went well too! Hopefully we both make it all the way and are offered a position. :D

Oh my! All I can say is WOW, a 3 month internship and no promise of a job as a RN afterwards? That's definately not promising and definately doesn't seem like it will help in the future. RNs are considered new grads until they complete the 2040 hours of PAID WORK experience. So therefore even after 3 months if you're not hired you will be right back where you started, a new grad RN with no job. It sounds like it will not benefit the new grads at all. If you're not doing direct RN work, then it's not going to help. Most new grad programs want new grads with zero work experience and they want them graduated no less than a year from the time of application. Find out more information before accepting such position as it sounds it will only benefit the employers. As one of the previous posters stated, it doesn't make any sence if you're going to be doing CNA work but yet a RN license is required. Good luck to you all

My assessment test is Friday. They probably have their own system of picking and choosing who takes the test. I was told that after the assessment test (if I pass) is an interview and if that goes well then I get a panel interview. Please let me know how the interview went.......what kind of questions they ask.......if everything goes well this would be my first interview.

Carreont: For the new grad rn care partner program i was told the start pay 10 something I can't recall the exact cents.

MMC10 - How did the assessment go? Did they give you a time frame for your interview? I was told that I should hear something back in 1-2 weeks.

Does anyone know how many people applied? and how many internals?

NurseCubanita - I was told that it was a 2 month acclimation period where you learn the different depts working as a CNA and then the position turns into an RN position after 2 months. I don't mind it at all and would love to receive an offer. I finished school about 10 months ago and I like the idea of a transitional period.

Has anyone heard anything back from crmc?

I haven't heard anything yet.

nothing yet. all i saw on my application status was "prospect."

Specializes in Hospice / Ambulatory Clinic.

Prospect is alot better than denied or not hired.

While it DOES sound like a bum deal to nurse who graduated in the good years but for those new gards stuck in the bad years it IS better than a kick in the pants and it does seem like Corona Medical Center is trying to make things win win for everyone. They know they dont have the budget to hire a bunch of new grads and pay them full salary while they orientate them and MAYBE they work out and MAYBE they stay.

Remember Doctors have 4 years of dismal pay before they get their salary.

Even as an LVN with experience I would take this kind of opportunity to get hospital experience.

I wonder if I'm still in the running. My status still says "applied".

Maybe they are still interviewing for the first round. It hasn't been a week yet so I'm still hopeful.

Did your status always say "prospect" or did it change from "applied" to "prospect" after your interview? I am desperate and trying to read into any clues to let me know if I have a chance or not.

carreont, it said "applied" after i applied, then it changed to "prospect" and stuck ever since. i never got called for an interview. yet.

OOOitzsharon - they should be calling you soon. They called me the day before they wanted me to come in for an interview. Have yo taken the assessment test yet? They may be making calls up to the end of this month. Good Luck.

Guys I really want this job. I can't wait to start my career.
