No problem. That's what we're here for to help each other. I live in Temecula. I'm a little less than an hour away (further south). I believe if you are contacted for employment for any of the hospitals under "UHS", you have to take an assessment test at the facility before an interview is scheduled. From what I can remember (Oct 2010) its situational questions. Questions were you had to think about what would you do. Not like some of the questions on employment websites were they ask if you "agree" or "strongly agree". Different. But no it is not on-line. They would call you in to take the test and if you pass the test then they may schedule you in for an interview.

oh ok. i'm not very close to that area, but of course i'm willing to drive down there. do they prefer people who already live in the area?

carreont: My status still says "applied". I have taken the assessment and the completed the interview.

I am going to call later today to get an update and see where they are at in the hiring process.

I live on the border of Ontario and Mira Loma so it is fairly close (about 10 minutes away).

Wow LDrnWNB. That would be perfect for you. I've always had to drive far for work so the drive doesn't really bother me. Can you let us know what the update is once you find out? Do you know how many people applied or had interviews. There are some internals too that applied. I am praying for this position.

I called and the person I spoke with didn't have a pleasant tone when they answered. She didn't give me much information other than they are still contacting applicants for interviews. She seemed in a bad mood so I didn't ask more questions.

Did anyone apply for the CPOE Super User/RN Intern at Glendale? I know that was previously mentioned as well.

I recently called the nurse recruiter too. All she said was they're still going through applicants but she did mention they already called up a few people for the 2nd round of interviews. :(

Maybe you guys can coordinate you efforts and place one morning update call. be like hey I'm calling on behalf of the eager beavers on All Nurses.

Once you get that first year behind you things do start to get progressively better so far as more and more places opening up and wanting you ( maybe even begging you down the line)

I applied at Glendale and have not heard back from them.

Thanks for calling and giving an update on Corona. Kinda bummed now because I have not received a call back for a second interview and my first interview was over a week ago. Oh well, I'll keep praying.

Here is my experience with Glendale: Long phone interview and then an "open house" interview session with unit directors. They actually offered jobs on the spot. I was offered a position at Glendale for the CPOE/RN Intern position. I believe they hired 60 people. There is a downfall because you are NOT guaranteed a RN position after. Unlike Corona, you start as a Clinical Partner and then transition into the RN position. I got hired on my unit of choice, but there is always that what if. Some people I've talked to say don't do it because it is taking a huge risk. Glendale also requires a 2 year contract. I am not sure about Corona.
