CCSF ADN Program Fall 2014

Just found out I'm #76 on the list for CCSF's RN program for Fall 2014.

Anyone else in this lottery? Thoughts? Comments?

Not so sure what I should be thinking/feeling at this moment, lol.

My letter didn't say what number I was on the wait list. Only to chose a date to take the TEAS at CCSF.

Hmm, that's a little weird. I was reading last year's lottery's posts and people were offered to take the TEAS when they were accepted. And people knew what number they were.

They must've done things differently this year. I would want to know what my chances were if I was on standby lol.

Oops, I was wrong. People on standby were offered to take the TEAS lol. They did know their numbers though.

I think I received mine on Sat too after two weeks of checking the mail like a crazy person. I was in the 10s on the lottery list. Time to study for TEAS! :up:

Yes I was accepted to both. I'm not sure which programs to attend yet because of the whole accreditation thing with ccsf. I, too, want to make the decision quick to give others in the waiting list a spot as well. I will probably try to contact ccsf dept. to see what is going on and what not just because ccsf is more convenient on my end. However, a lot of my friends encourage me to take my spot at CSM program because they heard it was a great program. (One of a fellow peer that I volunteer with mothers mom graduated there). One of my sisters friend is graduating from the CCSF RN this summer. She told me it was a great program and they expect alot from their students. I'm starting to think there might be some biases in their opinions. But I also want to ask what will happen to the nursing students if something were to happen to their accreditation.

CCSF is more convenient for me as well. I know someone who's also in the CCSF RN program right now and will be graduating at the end of the year. She loves the program & recommended I go there too. I think I will be attending both orientations & hopefully get some questions about CCSF's accreditation answered there. If you find anything out, I'd appreciate it if you kept me posted. Thanks!

I have a spot at ccsf for fall because I went through remediation last year, and now I'm on the wait list for csm. I've been going back and forth on what I would do if I got offered a spot. I've heard really good things about CCSF's program but the accreditation problem scares me. I don't wanna be in the program and then have my classes count for nothing, but the location is so convenient. I will also be attending both orientations!! See you guys there! :)
