CCSF ADN Program Fall 2014

Just found out I'm #76 on the list for CCSF's RN program for Fall 2014.

Anyone else in this lottery? Thoughts? Comments?

Not so sure what I should be thinking/feeling at this moment, lol.

Congrats! I believe you wait for a letter in the mail. I know you have to get CPR certified, pass the TEAS, and immunizations also.

Thank you! I am CPR certified already and immunization records are up to date. I just need to take my teas! I am a little nervous for that..but I called and she said expect for a mail just like you said!

Btw: are they taking first 50 or 100? I am a little confused!

You're welcome! I think you'll do fine on the TEAS if you got A's and B's in your pre-reqs and study using ATI's study guide. I took the TEAS last summer and studied for 2 weeks, and I did well. I thought it would be much harder, but it was okay. Definitely something that's not common sense or something you can cram for, though.

Also, they're taking the first 50. You're #11 so you're definitely good to go haha. I'm jealous, I'm #76

Thanks for your help! I will most likely in attending but I really hope you get in! I was curious if the program available through summer too? or is it just fall&spring?

Fingers cross other people withdraw!!

Haha, yea I hope so. It's just fall and spring. From what I've read from other people's post is that they have some kind of summer bridge program to refresh your math and some other courses.

I'm a 1st semester. Don't forget, you need all the titers, not immunization records. And yes, it's fall and spring, and summer bridge classes for new students. I recommend the bridge classes if you can do it, you will be tested on med math and terminology during 1st semester, and they won't go over it in class. So far it's been intense, no free time, tons of assigned reading, lots of paperwork for clinical. Test nearly every week, and paperwork due every week.

Congratulations to those who got in.

I found myself at the end of the list :-( I'm just curious, was it your first year, or you applied last year too?

It was my first time applying. But i am a little worried about with the whole accreditation thing...

Aww I'm sorry to hear

Thank you, though! It happened to be my first time to apply. How about you?
