CCSF ADN Program Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Just found out I'm #76 on the list for CCSF's RN program for Fall 2014.

Anyone else in this lottery? Thoughts? Comments?

Not so sure what I should be thinking/feeling at this moment, lol.

You should be receiving it some time soon. Meanwhile, I highly suggest that you start studying for the TEAS because it's essential that you passed :)

Hi Wonimal! I'm not sure if you still check this, but if you do, I was curious to know how do you like the MSN program at SFSU? I'm currently in the RN program at CCSF and have a year left! I already have a B.S. degree in something else and am debating if I should apply to a bridge program immediately after graduating from the CCSF program or work for a year before applying. What made you decide to bridge over right away and which specialty? Also, are you working while in the MSN program?

Hi so sorry for the late response! I've been pretty busy.

The MSN program is good, its structured so you can do full or part time. I'll be done with my MSN this spring 2016! I would bridge immediately because it's difficult to get a job with just an ADN. I would not bother to go for another bachelors degree, a masters degree makes you more desirable and competitive in the magnet-heavy hospitals in the bay area. I'm working full time on a step down ICU unit 4 days a week and also doing school full time. It's difficult but totally do-able :) just have to be dedicated. If you have any specific questions just email me, i hope you're doing well at ccsf, i visit occasionally.
