  1. I went to the open house this month at Rancho Cordova also! I'm hoping to start in January. Hopefully more people reply to your post [emoji2]
  2. Oh actually we got to go to a pediatric office for our pediatric clinicals lol.
  3. Yea I'm sure you'll do good. It's what you make of it. In the LVN program we only got to go to long-term care facilities but the experience was good. I've heard in the RN program they do go to local hospitals.
  4. P.S. I can't speak for the LVN to RN program but the LVN program was not easy there. It wasn't very difficult but I put a lot of hours into studying and trying to learn concepts on my own. Some instructors didn't emphasize what was going to be on the exams or read straight from the textbooks, so I found it hard to study for the exams. You have to pass all your courses with at least a 75% or they hold you back.
  5. I went to Carrington College Sacramento for the LVN program and graduated last July. The courses and instructors were awesome. There were a few instructors I was like eh about but that's like any other college. I think I learned the most during my clinical experience and the clinical instructors are awesome. The one thing I'd have to complain about is the administration and how disorganized they were in the nursing department. A lot of instructors quit in the middle of the term but they always figured things out. Just teaches you how to be a flexible nurse, I guess lol. I'd say going there was worth it. I'm also thinking about going there to do the bridge program. I know that the actual LVN to RN (not the pre-reqs) is only 8 months.
  6. Okay, lol. Thanks for your reply! I just wanted to make sure it wasn't too early to give them a call, haha.
  7. Hmm, I still haven't received anything in the mail. Should I call them already? Lol.
  8. Lol! Congrats and good luck on your TEAS! :) I'm probably gonna check my mail everyday this week...lol.
  9. Oops, I was wrong. People on standby were offered to take the TEAS lol. They did know their numbers though.
  10. Hmm, that's a little weird. I was reading last year's lottery's posts and people were offered to take the TEAS when they were accepted. And people knew what number they were. They must've done things differently this year. I would want to know what my chances were if I was on standby lol.
  11. I literally just went to check the mail like a crazy person lol. Nothing yet though What number are you for the standby list?
  12. Yay! I hope I got a spot or at least a good number on the waiting list lol. Did you get your letter already or just found out it was being mailed today? Also, are you planning to go to CCSF or waiting on another program? Thanks for that update btw! Lol.
  13. Wow, congrats! Yea, the accreditation thing is scary. It's been going on for a couple of years now, though. I'm assuming or hoping that we won't be affected I read somewhere from a different post about this issue that they'll take care of the nursing students if they don't get their accreditation worked out. Idk though, they might just be saying that lol.
