And summer is now upon us!!

No wonder it's been so crazy busy at work lately .... gonna be a long, busy summer :D

I've been enjoying the pool, while I can .... before it feels completely like hot bath water.

Stay cool in the AC .... and remember to drink LOTS of water!!

My pool temp is quite lovely at 84 right now. I still get cold for a while when I get out. It's nice.

But it's been windy lately here, and I just hate hot wind...

Our pool was 84 today too when we went swimming ..... it's like perfect! I'm such a wimp when it comes to cold water, but I hate when the pool water feels like bath water come August.

Right now it's perfect though :D

It was windy today and I agree, the hot wind isn't fun. Thankfully the outdoor mall we walked around has misters, so the wind blowing through that was rather nice.

Ours never gets any hotter for some reason. It maaaaay soar up to 85, but that's all it will give us.

I'm about ready for the monsoons to come. Yesterday, we had real mean and nasty looking clouds slip over the mountains and head right for us. They sure gave us hope, but then they dissapated and turned into hot wind.

But hey, they are getting close....

UGH! We were at my parents yesterday and took the kids swimming in their pool. The water was 84. Of course we had to wait until around 6:30 so there was a little shade over the pool.

I'm ready for the monsoons too.

We just got back from a 2 week California vacation. 1 1/2 weeks ago it was 96 in Yosemite Valley and heading for 100 degrees. Last weekend Morro Bay was in the 50's and 60's with June gloom clouds and drizzle. A couple of days ago Disneyland was a humid 95. Yuck! Through the Orange County area it was over 100 degrees. During the drive back, still on CA side, it was 115 and at a couple of times hit 119 degrees!

It's been between 110 and 115 degrees the past three days where I live in the Los Angeles area... unseasonably early for such hot weather.

No pool in the rental house (while in the UA ABSN); but, then again I don't have time for lounging in the pool! :)

I thought the boomers would hit yesterday and all we got was wind (woke up to the house stinking of smoke... must have been a brush fire to the East).

Looks promising for boomers at about 4pm and now all I see are clear sky and pretty stars...

I've worked through this week of storms and weird weather, so I missed most of it!! I worked M-Th, Wed I had a STABLE class, learned how to stabilize little ones for transport. I've basically gone into work when it was just starting to warm up, and left as the sun was setting! I did peak out of my patients windows and see all the smoke in the sky from that fire.

The summer is our busy season in L&D as well, so I'll be working a lot during these hot days :yeah:, can't complain about that.

I don't usually step in my pool until it's at least 85, so I've been swimming the last couple of weekends :yeah:. I like it when it's bathwater warm, :chuckle. I'm heading out to San Fran tonight, so it'll be an interesting change in temps I'm sure. We did get rain out here in Gilbert on Wed, from what I"ve heard it was quite a storm, but short. I guess it's just gearing up for monsoon.

Everybody always says, "yeah, but it's a dry heat". My answer to that is....

So is fire!! :angryfire

Take care everyone

STABLE is a great class! We've been busy at work too, tis the season.

The smoke in the sky yesterday was crazy ..... sure made for an amazing sunset though!

I like the water at 85 too .... before that it's too cold for me. That bad part is when it's 118 degrees outside and you really do want some COLD water, but by that time the water is too warm to be soothing lol. It's times like that when night swimming is great :D

I hate when people say "but it's a dry heat". Yeah whatever. So is the oven!

Had amazing storms yesterday! And it's all dark and gloomy right now! I hope to open the blinds, turn off all the lights, grab a glass of wine and enjoy the show tonight...
