Rio Salado, is it really that bad?

Hello,

I am taking an online math class at RIO and am taking my PSY 101 accelerated on campus at EMCC. I have good scores in both classes. I have laid out a plan to be done with my pre-reqs before the end of the year and it looks like this.

Summer 1:

Bio 156 (8 week, Rio Salado)

Summer 2:

Bio 201 (8 week, Rio Salado)

Mat 092 (12 week, Emcc)

Fall 2010:

Mat 122 (8 week, Rio Salado)

Chm130 (8 week, Rio Salado)

I started at the low level of math to catch back up since it's been a while.:o

ANYWAY.... HERE COMES the BIG Question..

Is Rio Salado really that hard for science classes? Has anyone had a positive experience? I have looked on a lot of forums and the general info suggests that the classes are incredibly hard. I am very concerned about my GPA, and am asking if my plan is doable without sacrificing my acceptance to a university in the future (due to low grades).

Any tips? Suggestions? Input would be highly appreciated!:heartbeat

I will be taking fast track 8 week science classes this Fall. It's start in October. I have a couple months to prepare. Any study tips, note taking, etc to prepare within these two months?

I seriously regretted taking Bio 205 at rio salado! I would take classes online at phoenix college instead. The midterm and final at rio are in person and very difficult compared to what is required in the course.

If you are doing an online course but live or of state how do they handle the exams? Does anyone know? I'm taking bio 100 this summer 8 week and a little nervous every.. I've done my a/p sow where else but need to go back and take this one

You just take it proctored.

Specializes in Case Management.

If you are out-of-state you fill out a proctor request and you can take the exams at a local community college or university
