  1. And the BRN website is inaccurate on their times for processing applications. I got my ATT on Aug 24 and yet on BRN website said they were processing applications from May 1-15. I applied June 08 so was initially very discouraged but now relieved it’s not accurate for whatever reason (they keep updating it and not changing the application processing status). This was in California.
  2. I took the exam Sep 10 at noon in Culver City, got the “good” pop up 2 hours later and this morning, 40 hours later, on a Saturday, I looked up my license on the BRN website and there it is! Yay CA for not dragging their feet on this ?
  3. You need to put in all the accurate credit card info (except maybe expiration date) and then it’ll either charge you (which you need to retake the exam anyway so not sure why people stress unless they truly don’t have the money in which case why not use a prepaid card with under $200) and so you know you didn’t pass or you’ll get the good pop up (or in some cases results on hold which could mean pass or fail - hasn’t yet been determined).
  4. I took it on 9/10 at noon. I did the PVT trick and got the good pop up. I’ll do Quick Results when they’re available. I got around 12 SATA, 2 pics and the second 1/2 of the exam was way harder than the 1st half- lots of diseases I’d never heard of. No SATAs in the second half either. I finished at 60 ?s. I was told there are no audible questions by Pearson Vue (at least at this time).
  5. Booking out until October! I just finished nursing school, don’t have ATT yet and really hoping they open up more centers. We’ve been doing ATI for weeks and don’t want to have to wait 4+ months. Thanks for the tips & sharing your experience
  6. I’m in Los Angeles area and I earn $34/hr as LVN - Outpatient Case Manager Mon-Fri 8-4:30 pm. OT 1.5x hourly.
  7. I met with the nurse at PCC Student Health Services and she signed off on my drug screen & TB - I just uploaded the results to CastleBranch so it's pending., guess I'll find out on Monday. Regarding the uniforms, I ordered from Dove Apparel in May but it looks like they aren't going to ship until July 19 so I won't have the name badge until then - is anyone else running into this problem?
  8. For CastleBranch, has anyone had an issue with them accepting the AHA BLS card. I got my "card" electronically, I submitted and it was returned saying they needed "front and back, with signature". Has anyone else had this problem?
  9. I don’t know if this helps but I had 73 points going in, I needed to take 3 classes worth 5 points each. I killed myself taking 2 classes online before I applied and that bumped me up to 83 and I got in. I’m hoping to get into the 3rd class now so I don’t have to take it in fall.
  10. Is it one set or two sets of scrubs?
  11. Are we allowed to purchase the white uniforms elsewhere? If so, where are you getting yours?
  12. I left a higher paying industry to go into nursing. I wanted to do something more meaningful. It hasn’t been what I expected. It’s not awful, I guess I just wish I’d known what I know now and stayed in my original industry. Sadly that shipped sailed.
  13. From someone who’s lived in LA for a long time, trust me on this, make sure it has AC. Over the past 3 years, I’ve used my AC more than I did the past 15 years combined so don’t believe anyone that tells you A/C not needed. Rents haven’t really changed so that’s good ?
  14. I’m working full-time (8-5, M-F) and plan to continue with that at least through the end of August. After that, I’m not sure what I’m going to do as I doubt my work will keep me part-time. I’m thinking about home health or hospice maybe. Duong.Karen1: out of curiosity, do you know what the going rate for a room is? I’ve been out of the market for awhile now ...
  15. Nothing received today.
