Does anyone know what the total tuition would be for nursing school through Maricopa County Community Colleges? Thanks! :)

It is about $5,200 for the two years of nursing school. Thats including book and tuition and stuff. I remembering reading this on the application form... hope this helps!!

Out of state is close to $300/ Credit Hr!!!! That's crazy, but I want that degree, so I guess I'll pay!

I was just reading on.....Phoenix College's site?.....that if you take under 7 credits, it's only $90/credit hour for out-of-state. Once you go 7+ credits though, they nail you on tuition.

And doesn't the out-of-state status change after being a resident for one year? I guess you'd have to claim AZ as your residence too.

I am surprised at the amount, especially because the LPN course at the Southwest Skills Centers are way more than 5200!!

The vocational LPN programs in the valley are based on clock hours not credit hours. Because these are vocational schools they can charge what they want. although they are a branch of a community colllege they are NOT the community college. FYI, the tuition is going up at Maricopa skills center in July, like another $500+

Two years ago my friend went through the LPN and paid like, $4K

I recently checked into the LPN program at the Skills center for EMCC and it was like 7000... Crazy! I didn't know that the skills center was not officially part of the College. Thanks for the info!!

they are just as bad as the new upstart nursing programs that have been cropping up. they know we are clamoring to get in a program and get started with a career. but it is free enterprise, supply and demand, yada, yada. i saw too where mccs are going up to $71 an hour. another incentive to get the schooling out of the way.:grad:
