I am curious to hear from other nurses on what hospitals have great images and possibly what hospitals need to a reputation overhaul!
Thanks

This thread is 12 pages long and about hospitals in Phoenix.
If you want to get responses from people in Tucson, you should start up your own thread.

Hey! I am about to begin at Banner Baywood in about a month on the telemetry cardiac stepdown unit. Can any one help with some positive and negatives? I am in crisis decision mode!
PS...What is the story with the critical care course?

Generally, there are two types of critical care courses. One is offered at Gateway College. The other is online at put out by the AACN called ECCO.

Our jobs as nurses is to help heal ALL people, regardless of race, age, sex, immigrant status, sexual orientation, felonies, etc. I am glad you didn't look for a job at PCH. I will be working there and am glad I won't have a person with those ideals working with me :)
That about sums up Mayo. Like most places they have some real weiners there. The main thing I didn't like at PCH was the high immigrant patient population. Think I'd be too tempted to call sheriff Joe if I worked there.

Having those ideals would be hard to have working at any hospital in the valley, especially PCH, MMC, St. Joes, etc.
I wouldn't take my child to PCH, but not for those reasons lol.
Vlujan, excellent use of hyperbole.
Some more rounded and less idealistically programmed individuals consider health care as a limited resource that needs to be effectively rationed. Fortunately things in AZ have dramatically changed since the days this thread was current. You might become frustrated with AZ.
