Chamberlain College of Nursing BSN Program

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hello!! I just joined this site today because I was recently accepted into Chamberlain College of Nursing, I am scheduled to begin classes on March 1st and I was wondering if anyone else is going to Chamberlain and also if anyone has heard anything (good or bad) about this school. I am very excited to start and I think that the most appealing thing about this school is that there isn't a wait list... I applied in August, was accepted in October and I am beginning in March. It is quite expensive but I think (or at least hope) that it is worth it. Also instead of doing the ADN, I have decided to do the BSN, any comments?? Advice?

Thank you, I actually read through this entire thread before posting on it so i had seen that advice from you on a previous post and checked there prior to posting. I like to be through and make sure my questions are not previously answered. But again thank you for the reiteration. I will keep an eye on my spam box.

Hello everyone,

I recently applied at Chamberlain for the BSN program. I was told by my advisor that I should receive an answer this week , however I am very anxious. I recieved a 94% on my HESI, but I do not have a GPA I only have a GED with a score of 65. My advisor told me that my scores for both are very high and my chances are really good, he also said that my essay was excellent. I have not seen anyone else with my situation of having a GED w/o prior college courses. I was just wondering if anyone on here has any idea of what my chances are? Or if anyone else has been accepted with a GED?

Thanks

Hello miss v,

Did you apply for this up upcoming October? start?? If so did you write an essay for part of your application because my advisor told me that they stopped the essay?

I did apply for this October, My advisor said that the essay is no longer a formal part of the application, but adding one is an option. I have what he said was a unique story as to why i would like to be a nurse, and he wanted me to be able to convey that to the admissions committee because i do not have any college background. I was told that having an essay no longer adds points to your application though. But yes I did write one.

So my application was reviewed today and it's on hold until September 9. :( which I'm goin to be stress until then. Anybody else who got there file on hold????

How was your file reviewed if the admissions comittee is on Thursday?

I have heard before that most people that get put on hold do get in. They are just waiting for a larger pool of people, there may not be so many to compare with that are applying this early. Chin up, I think you will be a classmate of mine come Oct.!

Ya I was told that they review them tmrw (thursday the 29th) ..??

Now that I think about it, I was told it was thursdays as well... did your advisor call you?

For those of you waiting for the 29th decision... I found out the day after so check your email! I will be crossing my fingers for you!

thanks Shanesmommy, your posts have been very helpful. I will be checking my spam box ALL day tomorrow. ((FINGERS CROSSED))

So has anyone heard anything? I'm sure I'm not the only one checking their spam like crazy lol

Shanesmommy, this may seem tedious, but around what time was your email sent out and what exactly did it say?
